Imperium Powered by Acumatica Now Offers Commercial Functionality
TOTOWA, N.J., July 13, 2016 – Integrated Business Systems (IBS) today released Version 2.0 of Imperium Powered by Acumatica, its cloud-based lease management/accounting system. The updated product adds commercial functionality for office, industrial and retail property owners and operators.

The Imperium software offers deep strength stemming from IBS’s four-decade development history, particularly in the areas of escalations and recoveries, lease abstracts, and utility and tenant service billing. It can integrate seamlessly with best-in-class applications across multiple real estate services categories. This includes CRM and lease workflow products such as Hightower, building management solutions like Building Engines, and budgeting and valuation software such as ARGUS Enterprise – among many others.

“The result is an accounting system that serves as a single source for capturing and processing real estate enterprise data,” noted Michael Mullin, IBS president. “And because it is a cloud solution it addresses the requirements of an increasingly collaborative and mobile – anytime, anyone, anyplace – business world. With Imperium, organizations can manage their operations with high efficiency through a product that will grow with their needs.”

IBS launched Imperium Version 1.0 in February. The initial release focused on the multifamily space, addressing the full range of tasks associated with operating rental apartments, condo and co-op boards, and homeowners’ associations. The product can integrate with popular third-party tenant screening, residential portal and other applications specific to that sector.

“We designed Imperium to help real estate organizations increase operational efficiency and improve the bottom line,” noted IBS’s Steven Hirsch, the senior consultant who spearheaded the Imperium development. “With Version 2.0, the software now meets every real estate lease management and accounting need.” The system is scalable and customizable for private and public enterprises of any size, from just a few users to hundreds of operators.

IBS introduced its legacy property management and accounting product in 1979, and the system has evolved based on changing customer needs and commensurate with technological advances. In 2015, the firm partnered with Acumatica, a leading provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software, to develop Imperium. The resulting product pairs IBS with Acumatica’s technologically advanced delivery platform.

“The cloud will drive technology for years to come,” Mullin said. “We partnered with Acumatica to distill the most important functions of our legacy system into Imperium. In short, we have created an attractive upgrade path for our current customers, and a powerful solution for new clients.”

Imperium is built on Acumatica’s Cloud xRP Framework, an extensible and scalable development platform. The resulting custom-designed product extends the power of Acumatica’s cloud ERP product with an industry-specific solution to address the requirements of residential and commercial real estate owners and managers.

The product is also being sold as an Acumatica add-on by the firm’s network of resellers. “The combination of IBS’s deep industry knowledge and our platform have resulted in a cutting-edge solution for the real estate industry,” said Christian Lindberg, vice president of partner solutions at Acumatica. “We are excited to extend our vertical reach with this new offering.”

Beyond the Acumatica development partnership, IBS also serves as a reseller for the company’s general accounting system. Built on best-in-class cloud and mobile technology and a customer-centric licensing model, Acumatica is geared to small and mid-size businesses across a range of industries. It delivers a suite of fully integrated business management applications, such as financials, distribution, customer resource management, and project accounting, on a robust and flexible platform.

Additionally, IBS’s Managed IT Services division offers full consulting, design, installation and support services for diversified clients.
