It’s been one full month since IBS launched our new Imperium product at the Acumatica Partner Summit in Orlando. And what a month it has been. From our introductory presentation to the 600 Acumatica partners and team members in attendance (check out our video here), to ongoing discussions with our colleagues and clients, the response to the new cloud-based IBS property management/accounting software has been overwhelmingly positive.

We are busy accommodating demo requests for Imperium Powered by Acumatica. Version 1.0 focuses on the multifamily space, addressing the full range of tasks associated with operating rental apartments, condo and co-op boards, and homeowners’ associations. Additionally, we are gearing up to launch Version 2.0, which will incorporate commercial functionality – for office, industrial and retail – this spring. We also expect to make our first Imperium customer announcement very soon. Stay tuned!

The source of all this excitement began about a year ago when we partnered with Acumatica to develop a new property management module for the company’s core cloud ERP product. Over the past 12 months, we have worked together to leverage IBS’s four-decade development history and Acumatica’s cutting-edge delivery platform to create a next-generation property management/accounting product.

Imperium Powered by Acumatica has now arrived. And, more than ever, we are confident that Acumatica is the right platform to move IBS forward. This young, rapidly growing company is doing things right, under the direction of a highly experienced and accomplished management team. As part of the recent conference, we learned about some of the new features available with Acumatica Version 5.3 and got a glimpse of what will be coming soon with Version 6.0. Just a few highlights include:

  • New Web services API: This function is now much more efficient; what previously required dozens of lines of code now requires just one. Designed for the future, it facilitates rock-solid and durable integrations with ISV products and online services.
  • Deeper integration with Microsoft Exchange: The newest version makes it possible to synchronize data and records – including email, contacts, tasks, and appointments – with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 accounts.
  • Performance improvements: With the release of 5.3 comes greatly improved speed for things like sales order creation, shipment processing and page loads.
  • Enhanced Mobile App: New functionality enables businesses and employees to enter, review and approve orders from anywhere, at any time. The new version offers more scenarios than ever for mobile CRM, mobile sales orders and project time cards.

This really is a great platform and a great partnership. Imperium Powered by Acumatica is taking our company forward in a way that will help our existing and new clients embrace an increasingly mobile and interconnected world. We couldn’t be more pleased to have taken this major leap – and landed so well.
